Pengertian, Rumus, dan Contoh Kalimat Future Continous tense

Pola kalimat
(+) subject + will/shall + be + verb -ing + object
(-) Subject + will/shall + not + be + verb -ing + object
(?) Will/shall + subject + be + verb -ing + object

Contoh:
Dia akan membersihkan lantai.
(+) She will be cleaning the floor.
(-) She will not be cleaning the floor.
(?) Will she be cleaning the floor?

B. Penggunaan
Pola Future Continous tense digunakan untuk menyatakan peristiwa yang akan sedang berlangsung pada waktu tertentu di waktu yang akan datang.
Contoh:

• They will be going at four o'clock tomorrow morning. (Mereka akan pergi jam empat besok pagi.)
• She will be playing baseball next sunday. (Dia akan bermain kasti hari minggu yang akan datang.)
• I shall be working tomorrow morning. (Saya akan bekerja besok pagi.)
• Fungsi kedua dari future continous tense adalah untuk menyatakan peristiwa yang sedang berlangsung ketika peristiwa yang lain terjadi di waktu yang akan datang.

Contoh:
My family will be watching television when you drop in on my house. (Keluarga kami akan menonton televisi ketika kamu datang ke rumah saya.)
We will be pecking fruits when she comes tomorrow. (Kami akan memetik buah-buahan ketiak dia datang besok.)

Keterangan waktu

• by this time next week : pada saat ini minggu depan
• by this time tomorrow : pada saat ini besok
• at seven o'clock tonight : pada jam tujuh nanti malam
• all day tomorrow : sepanjang hari besok
• in a week : dalam satu minggu
